چکیده
Shale gas is a promising new energy source stored in shale. This research aims to study the laws of rock crack initiation and propagation under low-temperature fracturing liquid nitrogen, explore influencing factors shale reservoir effect, identify method that achieves best effect obtains highest economic benefits. Herein, visualized physical experiment nitrogen carried out, fracture process numerical model cold shock simulated analyze homogeneity on propagation. The results show two different development modes could be observed field test. first one was horizontal plane radial caused by longitudinal thermal shrinkage, other vertical tensile circumferential shrinkage. A certain interval length frequently found between cracks. specimens with homogenization degrees basically distributed direction perpendicular contact surface. When were m = 2 5, surface rough microfracture disordered dotted around tip. ≥ 10, damage tip did not appear, close obtained from using homogeneous materials. Finally, this work simulates circular hole shock, analyzes influences heat transfer coefficient, situ stress parameters temperature, minimum principal distribution, propagation, discusses optimal improve coefficient. increasing coefficient can increase value influence range boundary, making more prone cracking resulting greater better effect. lateral affects cracks, depths cracks deeper larger stress.

Research on Chaos Characteristic of Crack Evolution in Coal-rock Fracturing
Precisely describing the formation and evolution rules of coal-rock fracturing crack have great value on reservoir fracturing improvement and highly efficient mining of coal bed methane well. In this paper, a non-linear dynamic method is used to study crack damage evolution behavior of coal-rock fracturing. Considering distribution characteristics of natural cracks in coal-rock, and based on da...
متن کاملSimulation of hydraulic fracturing of jointed rock
This paper presents a modeling approach for three-dimensional simulation of hydraulic fracturing of jointed rock. The base for a successful computer based simulation for productive use is the ability to calculate the fractured volume with sufficient accuracy and efficiency. Especially in cases three dimensional effects have to be taken into account, the common commercial software tools in oil a...
متن کاملExperimental Investigation of Crack Extension Patterns in Hydraulic Fracturing with Shale, Sandstone and Granite Cores
Hydraulic fracturing is an important method of reservoir stimulation in the exploitation of geothermal resources, and conventional and unconventional oil and gas resources. In this article, hydraulic fracturing experiments with shale, sandstone cores (from southern Sichuan Basin), and granite cores (from Inner Mongolia) were conducted to investigate the different hydraulic fracture extension pa...
متن کاملTectonics, fracturing of rock, and erosion
[1] We argue that by fracturing rock, not by raising it relative to base level, tectonics plays its most important role in causing rapid incision of valleys and rapid erosion of hillslopes. Tectonic deformation riddles the upper crust with fractures, which not only provide avenues for water flow and thus promote weathering and further disintegration of rock but also fragment bedrock into debris...
متن کاملCyclic Deformation, Dislocation Structure, and Internal Fatigue Crack Generation in a Ti-Fe-O Alloy at Liquid Nitrogen Temperature
To clarify the internal fatigue crack generation in a Ti-Fe-O (near a-type) alloy, microstructures, internal fatigue crack initiation sites, and dislocation structures in samples fractured during high-cycle fatigue tests at liquid nitrogen temperature were studied. The alloy contained two kinds of elongated a-phase microstructures, i.e., recovered a grains and recrystallized a grains. Untested ...
